Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of Canada Powered by Women (CPW). We will not accept any gift unless it can be used to support the purpose and mission of CPW.
No irrevocable gift, whether outright or life-income in character, will be accepted if it would jeopardize the donor's financial security under any reasonable set of circumstances.
CPW only accepts dollar amount donations. We do not accept publicly traded securities or any other types of donations. For example, we don’t accept real property, personal property, non-liquid securities, or contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some manner.
Gifts of in-kind services are sometimes an exception to CPWs donation policy. If you are interested in giving an in-kind service gift, please contact CPW to discuss. Acceptance of gifts for in-kind services are at the discretion of CPW.
Your donation to CPW is a personal contribution; it is not tax deductible. We will provide a donation receipt to donors.
CPW will respect a donor's desire to remain anonymous. Concerning anonymous gifts, CPW will restrict information about the donor to CPW staff members who need to know for donation processing purposes only.
CPW will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders' fees, or other means, any third party for directing a gift or a donor to our organization.
